About the INITIATIVE
The Greater Toronto Marketing Alliance is hosting a strategically important event on June 6th called GTA Global Vantage 2007. This Forum will bring together key thought leaders and stakeholders from business, government and academia to find solutions to:

Attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) into the GTA

Supporting international trade and investment abroad by GTA companies

Positioning and promoting the GTA globally
Following the Forum, the GTMA will use the strategic input received at the event as a framework to develop an action plan for advancing international investment and trade interests for the Greater Toronto Area.

Our RESEARCH Partner – Deloitte & Touche LLP
The Greater Toronto Marketing Alliance has partnered with the consulting firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP to conduct research towards developing a position paper on the key issues facing the GTA with respect to international investment, trade and promotion.
In the first quarter of 2007, the GTMA and Deloitte undertook a series of executive roundtable meetings with industry and government stakeholders from across the GTA. The feedback from these sessions combined with global business perceptions about the Toronto region will be used to develop a position paper, inclusive of “calls to action”. The Deloitte Report will be launched at the GTA Global Vantage Forum on June 6, 2007 and the recommendations will provide the springboard for a go-forward roundtable discussion session at the event.
